Since its creation by French broadcasting in 1937, the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France has established itself as a singular group in the European symphonic landscape.
It is one of Radio France's four permanent ensembles, along with the Orchestre national de France, the Chœur de Radio France and the Maîtrise de Radio France.
